When branch removal is the right job
You do not always need to fell a tree to solve a problem with it. Removing selected branches can clear a roof, let in light or deal with storm damage while the tree stays in place.
Common reasons for branch removal
- Branches hanging over a roof, driveway, wall or neighbouring property.
- Branches damaged or left hanging after strong wind or a storm.
- Dead branches that could fall.
- Branches blocking light, a view or access.
- Branches growing towards power lines. Please keep clear of them and tell us.
Overhanging branches and access
Overhanging branches usually cannot simply be cut and dropped. What lies beneath them and how the tree can be reached decide how the work is done, so we ask about both before quoting.
Branches near buildings, driveways and boundaries
Tell us how close the branches are to buildings, fences, walls and vehicles, and whether they extend over a neighbouring property. Please also mention any power lines. Do not try to move or cut damaged or hanging branches yourself.
Emergency and storm damage
We take emergency and storm-damage call-outs. If a branch has come down or is hanging dangerously, call us and tell us what has happened. Keep people and vehicles well away from it in the meantime.
